The aim of the study was to examine different powder formulations for nasal application with a novel, multidose reservoir spray device (PowderJet®). For this purpose, spray-dried powders and blended powder formulations containing different active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients were prepared. Lactose carrier particles were combined with hydrophilic polymers to prolong drug residence time on the nasal mucosal surface.
