Work-monograph on Hans Werner Henze's "Kammermusik 1958", dealing with its genesis, encompassing the work's reuse of material already estabished in Henze's music for Ernst Schnabel's "Der sechste Gesang" for solo guitar, in "Maratona" and in the "Five Neapolitan Songs"; offers an analysis of the Hölderlinian textual basis as well as an extensive analysis of the composition's structural and semantic network with regard to Henze's aesthetics of "understanding music like language".
