Protection of the constitutional order in Poland and Germany : Democracy and the rule of law with special emphasis on the constitutional position of the judiciary

The contributions collected in this volume originate from the „Kiel Days in Poznań“, which took place in November 2024. The event focused on academic exchange on constitutional aspects of democracy and the rule of law in Poland and Germany, with special emphasis on the constitutional position of the judiciary. In their presentations, academics from both countries addressed key issues and current challenges facing the democratic constitutional state, examining them from different perspectives. This conference volume documents this discourse in written form, making it accessible to a broader readership. The contributions are intended to encourage reflection on the similarities and differences between constitutional developments in Poland and Germany and to promote further discussion on the foundations and future of democracy in Europe.
