Strukturelle Plastizität von parvalbumin-positiven Interneuronen des Gyrus dentatus

My work examines functional aspects of the structural plasticity of parvalbumin-positive interneurons in the mouse dentate gyrus. It has been recently shown in Prof. Wulff lab that this type of interneurons carry a considerable number of dendritic spines. Here I describe how the inhibition of protein kinase C, enzyme of a signaling cascade activated during neural plasticity, affects dendritic spine and synapsis density.
