Defensive Structures from Central Europe to the Aegean in the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC

Defensive structures are common in Europe's prehistory: they appear in different periods, places and cultural contexts. Equally diverse are the reasons for their construction. For the isolating of certain fragments of space from their surroundings could have been an attempt to satisfy different needs. That's why with the analysis of each individual case, it is necessary to specify its time and place. This volume focuses on defensive structures from the early 2nd millennium BC located in the wide belt covering the Central European Plain and the Aegean, with the stress being laid on the former area. Neither the time nor place has been chosen at random.
