You can choose "Dissertation with embargo" if the doctoral regulations applicable to you allow this and there are copyright or patent law reasons for an embargo period. You must determine the expiry date of the embargo yourself. It is your responsibility to weigh up all aspects that may have an influence on the expiry date of the embargo (e.g. doctoral regulations, publishing conditions, patent application) (

). Until the automatic release of your dissertation after expiry of the embargo period, an abstract of the dissertation will be published. This must also be provided by you.
The dissertation is part of a series
You can choose the option "The dissertation is part of a series" if your dissertation as been accepted as part of a series (e.g. Kiel Computer Science Series, Schriftenreihe des Instituts für Pflanzenernährung und Bodenkunde). Please upload the version of your dissertation that has been accepted by the editors of the series.
