The history of eastern europe is nearly not existent in german history teaching. But if you take a look on the history of eastern europe, it will mostly be a western perspective towards an unenlightened eastern europe. Therefore it is going to be discussed how we are able to implement a constructive focus on engaging with the history of eastern europe in school, using the basics of historical teaching.
